Latest Alterman/Casey Slap Fest

It started with a throw-away line by lefty, union-buster, public school parent Eric Alterman, something about how he loves unions, but hates teachers unions. And then somehow Eduwonk waded into the line of fire. Then Leo Casey responded, saying Alterman was just upset that the UFT had endorsed former Gov. George Pataki in exchange for a boatload of cash. Then Alterman responded by saying he had no idea what Leo was talking about, explaining that the real reason he hated teachers unions was that he is a NYC public school parent and sees how the union stands in the way of reform in his kid's school. Then Leo Casey responded that there was a veritable paper trail of Alterman's writing that support Leo's interpretation.

Now Alterman responds saying "I'm sorry, but if the teachers' unions are paying this guy to write crap like this, then things are worse over there than I imagined." It's a very long response, and he even calls Leo "bub" a few times.
