With my greatest appreciation and admiration, I share this with you! paula

It is an honor to be a part of public education reform and particularly, public charter schools. It has likewise been an honor to launch the New York City Center for Charter School Excellence. I believe we have had the opportunity to contribute to the quality of education for our young people in a meaningful way.

After 2 ½ years, the Charter School cap lift is now in a very encouraging position and our Center is developing an update to our strategic business plan to further impact the quality of Charter School education in New York City. It is the right time for a leadership transition for the Center. I will leave my role as the Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2007. However, I will always remain committed to the work of public Charter Schools and hopefully, remain involved in a meaningful way.

I thank the Charter School students, leaders, supporters and our Board as well as the very special and dedicated staff of the Center, Every young person deserves a great education and has the potential to succeed in school and life. Your efforts contribute every day to achieving this vision.

All the best always,

Paula
