Run For Your Lives!

In case the blogosphere hasn't completely beaten this issue into the ground yet, it is widely anticipated that any day now the U.S. Ed Dept. will release another study comparing charter schools to traditional public schools that will be just like the last one that found charters were generally as crappy as their old-style competitors (and just like the other one from a few weeks ago that found private schools also stunk up the joint as badly as traditional public schools.)

Look for this to reignite the battles within the charter school movement over the importance of closing down public charter schools that don't live up to their promise. Hopefully, all the masturbatory sweat over the release of the report from anti-charter folks will lead them to more fully embrace the Anti-Crap Doctrine, whereby ALL crappy schools (charter, public, and private) run the risk of being shuttered once and for all.

UPDATE: Getting bombarded with emails from folks in the know who say charter school supporters will not be very proud of the results of the snapshot.
