Blockbuster Alert
Mike Antonucci's got another one. This one involves some amazing stuff he stumbled upon (including hours and hours of secret scathing tapes) that looks at how American Federation of Teachers staffers feel about their internal operations and messaging. Very interesting read.
Some staffers appeared to be asking some of the same kinds of questions we posed here recently:
"What is there really for the members? What? I don’t know. American Teacher (magazine produced by the union) and the newsletters, that’s it."
Also this kind of stuff:
"People are surprised when they get a poll that comes out that says our members don't even know what union they belong to. Well, why should they?"
"I think that the AFT could be facing a very troubled future."
"I find it almost miraculous that we have as many members as we do."
Read the whole thing, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
