What Ever Happened to J.D. LaRock?
Education watchers in NYC probably remember J.D. LaRock, a one-time spokesman for former Chancellor Rudy Crew and then, later the one-man-wonder education reporter for NY1 television, and then, a flack-catcher for The After School Corporation. Alexander Russo notes that J.D. is now working as a staffer for Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.)When I was reporting for the Daily News, I always felt bad that J.D. had to hold his video camera and microphone himself while he interviewed people at the old Board of Education meetings. Good chap.
