Cod Check/Card Check And Magic Words
I just noticed a post over at Edwize where Leo Casey is trying to decide what the rest of the blogosphere should be blogging about again. (It understandably must be difficult to break from the mold where you always get to tell everyone what they should be doing and saying.) In this case, he seems to think The Chalkboard should have blogged about the passage in the House of Representatives of the Employee Free Choice Act, which bolsters the rights of unions to more cheaply organize by doing away with the secret ballot for workers so that everyone will be able to see whether a worker favors unionizing or not.
I would be happy to blog about that issue, but I'm not an elected official so I'm not required to ask how high the UFT wants me to jump. If Leo Casey really wants a blogpost on this, he has to say the magic word...
UPDATE: This was probably obvious to most readers, but the magic word is "please."
