Is WFP Really A Political Party?
Or are they the education establishment's equivalent of the Watergate burglars?
Included in the latest Insideschools email blast is this tidbit regarding the political party's opposition to NYC Chancellor Joel Klein's proposed reorganization plans:
Rally about the reorganization: If you oppose the proposed reorganization of the schools or would like to ask school officials to slow down the pace of reform while gathering community opinion, attend a meeting on Feb. 28, organized by the Working Families Party. For information, call 718-222-3796.
The Working Families Party????? What is up with that? I know they get a lot of money from the teachers union, but doesn't this seem more like doing somebody else's dirty work rather than the kind of things political parties usually do?
At least this description is honest about WFP's desire to "slow down the pace of reform."
Slow it down??????
Good grief.
