Educational Larceny
The Hartford Courant says that New York is stealing from the best thing in education that Connecticut's got going right now. The column, one of many in the growing pile of such accolades, describes Achievement First's growth into New York due to a cap on new charters in Connecticut.
It remains to be seen whether AF needs to find yet another state to house its high-performing public schools due to New York's own anti-child charter school cap.
Also in the Courant, AF's flagship school, Amistad Academy, has been named a Title I Distinguished School by the U.S. Department of Education.
