Bus Update - Friday Afternoon
While I was posting this earlier on the messy school bus situation in NYC, Chancellor Joel Klein was meeting with reporters to take the blame. According to NY1, he again apologized for the inconvenience to parents and said if he could do it all over again, he would have insisted on a dry run with the bus companies to make sure the routes were workable. He didn't waiver, however, in his contention that the budget cuts were necessary as part of a much larger overhaul of the school system designed to pump more money from other parts of the bureaucracy to classrooms.
That last part is important. This too shall pass, but boy, what a week.
