Time Warp
NY Sun columnist Alicia Colon somehow seemed to miss the fact that Mayor Bloomberg was given control of the city's 1.1 million student school system back in 2002, there really is no more Board of Education**, and the only thing left at 110 Livingston Street is the ghost of Dan Conlin.
Aside from that, it seems she was trying to make an important point in her column this morning... I just can't figure out what exactly it is.
** The state statute still recognizes the "Board of Education" but Jill Levy seems to be the only one clinging to that name, as a matter of nostalgia/principle. The rest of the world calls it the Department of Education.
