Lottery Season Upon Us

It won't be long before existing public charter schools start their annual random selection of winners and losers through their enrollment lotteries. Unlike traditional public schools, charters by law aren't allowed to cream the best students and so must draw numbers to see who gets scarce available slots. The Niagara Gazette this morning notes that the Niagara Charter School's second annual lottery will be held March 1.

Send us information about when and where your lottery will be held - TheChalkboard@nycsa.org.
