The Chalkboard Psychedelic Flashback!
What were we blogging about a year ago this week:-- Albany Prep Charter School Principal Todd McKee compares the shallowness of charter school critics to problems Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. described in his legendary "Letter from Birmingham Jail."
-- The beginning of some back-and-forth with the UFT over some comments made by a TV guy with an extremely healthy mustache (and isn't named Geraldo.)
-- Todd Ziebarth looks at the connection between caps/bans on new public charter schools and quality. One year later, he's still searching for one. Doesn't seem to exist.
-- UFT President Randi Weingarten claims that Nixzmary Brown might not have been murdered had there been smaller class sizes in the NYC schools.
-- KIPP's Frank Corcoran, a founding teacher at its Bronx school, was named a Disney Teacher of the Year.
