Key-Master Found

Per this earlier post (which itself linked to an Alexander Russo gossip/scoop,) Russo today has it nailed down: the Gates Foundation's Tom Vander Ark will be stepping down at the end of the year and becoming a senior fellow at the foundation.

Russo is inviting speculation about why and who will take over. My thought: With Gates weening himself from Microsoft and increasing his day-to-day role at the foundation, I would expect a lot more changes. Gates didn't get to be such a tremendously rich guy by sitting in the back seat...
