The Bus Cartel Cares!

Really, it's all about the kiddies!

I think many people will be sympathetic to the notion that ripping up bus routes in the middle of the school year can be disruptive, but we're really supposed to believe that the lawsuit filed by the bus companies seeking to stop the $20-million cost-saving plan for NYC schools is based on their heartfelt concerns that kids are going to be stranded at bus stops in sub-zero weather come December???

"You don't go forward with this when it's 12 degrees outside and run the risk of having kids waiting for buses that never show up," bus cartel lawyer Peter Silverman told the NY Post's Dave Andreatta.

Total crap.

I do feel kind of sorry for the hard-working mob bosses who will lose a few points on this administrative change, which will mean 250 fewer bus routes.

Note to the U.S. Attorney's office: If I'm suddenly and mysteriously not posting on this blog on Monday, I hope you know where to start asking questions...
