Bull On The Loose in Newark
Viewers of early morning television news in NYC today were treated to live helicopter shots of a wild bull that was running loose on the streets of Newark. No bull, I swear.Apparantly the animal made a mad dash out of a nearby slaughterhouse and decided it was way cooler to be hanging out with car-jackers. The bull now will be pardoned by the governor and will be shipped to a zoo in south Jersey.
Two quick thoughts:
1. I have to admit I was a tad bit disappointed that Mayor Cory Booker didn't personally lasso the bull and then ride it over to City Hall to kick some rump. The TV crews were there, and the publicity would have been splendid.
2. There is an important message in this whole episode for frustrated school parents: It is indeed possible to run for your (or your child's) life and end up with a happy ending. Stop putting up with the crap.
