Brown v. Bd. of Ed and Charters

The Topeka (Kan.) Capital Journal reports that organizers -- including Cheryl Brown of the Brown family involved in the landmark civil rights and education case -- are fixing to put a charter school in the old Sumner Elementary School. Sumner, you'll recall, was the all-white school where a young black girl named Linda Brown wanted to attend.

If this fascinating charter school plan -- including Cheryl Brown's involvement -- sounds familiar, it is because we brought you this one back in May.
