Merriman's Moving

James Merriman, the meticulous executive director of SUNY's Charter Schools Institute, is taking a job with the Walton Family Foundation, giving out cash and such. He's relocating to Columbus, Ohio, at the end of December.

Merriman has played a crucial role in making New York State's charter school authorizing process a national model. Look for him in the good seats at Ohio State football games in the future?

Sort of tough to be in the charter granting business in New York right now, seeing as how there are no more charters that may be granted.

SPEAKING OF OHIO, check out this tough love action.
