Ravitch on Superintendent Gates
Now that Mega-bilionaire Bill Gates is the de facto superintendent of America's schools, Diane Ravitch has some thoughts on what should happen, from Sunday's L.A. Times.
Also from out west, a solid story on California Gov. Schwarzenegger's relationship with the powerful California Teachers Association. The governor, who likes chowder schools, broke a deal with the union over school funding, then tried to make up for it, but ultimately paid a tremendous price.
