Failing To Lift The Charter Cap

Is not an option, the NY Sun's editorial page writes this morning. “Lifting the cap is a must if Mr. Pataki is to lay claim to a legacy as an education reformer,” the Sun’s editors write.

The editors say no matter how the governor spins it, the approaching state budget deal can only be considered a success if there are tuition tax credits, curbed spending growth, and a lifting of the obnoxious cap on charter schools. You can find their prose here.
