Bill Nye Science Stud
SACRAMENTO - I didn't catch the whole thing, but Bill Nye put on a rather amazing show/science lab session to close this year's National Charter Schools Conference. I didn't want to like him (something about the fact that my wife finds Nye extremely sexy was bugging me) but I couldn't help it. He fired-up not only the grownups, but a couple of hundred local charter school kids who came in to the convention center for the science lesson. He was an awesome performer/instructor.
The conference officially closed out with some wonderful music performed by the orchestra at the Marvin L. Winans Academy of Performing Arts, in Detroit.
Thanks to the hosts of the conference and to all the people who brought their game to these sessions to make them as worthwhile as they were.
