Mission Statement

 

The New York Charter Schools Association promotes effective, efficient, and accountable charter schools by:

Providing services that dramatically increase academic performance, and ensure financial stability, and;

Creating a social and political climate that fosters the establishment and expansion of public school choice.

 

On behalf of our member charter schools, NYCSA:

Engages in public outreach and advocacy on behalf of charter schools.

Conducts media efforts to raise awareness of the charter school initiative.

Works with elected representatives to protect and advance pro-charter school legislation.

Delivers regular updates on pertinent legal, regulatory, and legislative issues.

Provides technical assistance to charter school administrators, teachers, and board members to help with operational and administrative concerns.
