2005 Lobby Day

Our 2005 Lobby Day turned out to be our biggest event to date. Over 400 participants from schools in Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, and New York City gathered at the state Capitol to support their charter schools and the statewide movement.
Keynote speaker Senator Martin Golden (R-Brooklyn), who is sponsoring a bill to lift the statutory cap on charter schools, spoke to attendees about the importance of parent choice in public education.
Our heartfelt thanks to the charter school parents, students, teachers, and staff who took time off from their busy schedules to attend the event. We are looking forward to hosting an even bigger crowd next year.
