Annual 2008 NY Statewide Charter School Conference
October 10 & 11 (Fri.-Sat.)
New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square
1535 Broadway @ 46th Street
The Annual 2008 Statewide Charter School Conference time and place is set
for Friday and Saturday, October 10-11, at the New York Marriott Marquis,
located in Times Square in Manhattan (Broadway and 46th St).
NYCSA received very positive feedback from last year’s conference and we
seek to build on this success by providing timely and detailed information
to increase awareness and equip schools for higher student achievement.
In addition to certain key perennial topics, we envision information panels
on leadership development, capital financing, data management, outreach
strategies to attract students with disabilities and ELL, and much more.
Of course, we continue to welcome your suggestions and input for conference
topics, and will conduct outreach in the coming months as the agenda takes
shape.
We expect to begin the conference Friday afternoon, October 11th, starting
with simultaneous sessions followed by an evening reception, to include
adult beverages. Conference fees will remain the same as 2007, with separate
discounted NYCSA member and non-member rates.
Conference registration is now available via link on the Association’s website,
www.NYCSA.org, or directly at
NY State Charter School Conference Registration and
hotel reservations can be made by contacting the Marriott Marquis at (212)
